Maintenance Crew Leader
Reports to Maintenance Production Manager
Job Overview: This position entails being a hands-on, valuable crew leader for one of our maintenance crews. This role requires regular communication with management to ensure all responsibilities and work performed is done to company and industry standards. The right candidate will be detail oriented and have a passion for tending to and improving beautiful, ecological landscapes within a growing company.
Responsibilities and Duties
Meet with Management to discuss jobs and tasks for the day.
Oversee a team to complete the day-to-day, on-site management of scheduled landscape maintenance and enhancement visits.
Perform scheduled maintenance tasks: mowing, pruning, weeding, fertilization, mulching, trimming, blowing, spraying, irrigation repairs, planting, and seasonal color installation.
Ensure proper tools and materials are available and onsite for each job.
Maintain a high level of tidiness and professionalism at job sites and throughout the community.
Log all work performed and materials used using company-issued iPad and software.
Work in coordination with the Shop manager to maintain equipment and tools necessary for contract fulfillment.
Qualifications
• Experience in landscape installation, organic gardening, or irrigation is required.
• Project Management experience preferred.
• Ability to work within a team and independently on assigned job tasks.
• Desire to complete projects in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ability to lift up to 50 Ibs.
Salary & Benefits
Four Day Work Week: Position is full-time, Monday-Thursday 6:30am-5:00pm (Friday, as needed, when rain-outs occur), outside in the day-to-day elements.
Starting pay $19-$21/hour, dependent on experience. There is the opportunity to make up to $23.50 per hour with certifications and positive performance reviews.
3 weeks paid vacation accrued; Company Simple IRA available; Semi-annual bonuses; Uniform shirts and hats provided and company reimbursements for pants and boots after 90 days.
